Maya and her boys have been exploring some beautiful and historic sights in Poland! They visited a very old church (swipe to see video!) and a castle. Follow the yellow hats to see the boys’ adventure. While they’re trying to make the best of their time in Poland, concerns of the war spreading and needing to seek asylum elsewhere are on Maya’s mind. Sometimes it’s hard, and sometimes it’s time to celebrate; today is a day to celebrate! The boys are enjoying a “cinema” play park, Michael is on his way to a Ukrainian-speaking (free) preschool, and Maya has a brand new phone, that she got from a new friend. Maya’s hometown of Dnipro was bombed on Thursday night. Thankfully her connections there are safe, but much of the town is in ruins. The primary reason why I loved THIS year's Giving Tuesday, in particular, isn't because of the funds we raised, although I am grateful for every dollar. It's because of the new friendships we made and the ones that have been rejuvenated.
